Osler acted as counsel to the senior lenders, The Toronto Dominion Bank, Alberta Treasury Branches and Business Development Canada, to a special purpose entity formed by Bird Construction Inc. and Maple Reinders Ltd. in connection with the financing of the City of Calgary Composting Facility P3 Project. The project involves the development of a composting facility capable of processing up to 100,000 tonnes per year (wet weight) of source separated organics and 45,000 tonnes per year (dry weight) of anaerobically digested dewatered biosolids.
Osler represented the senior lenders with a team consisting of Christopher Bennett (Project Finance), Tobor Emakpor (Project Finance/P3), Dana Saric (Corporate), and James Kelsall (Financial Services).
