Cole Tavener

Cole’s practice focuses on serving businesses in the construction, infrastructure, and energy industries.  His experience includes assisting clients with matters concerning project finance, contract negotiations and dispute resolution.  Cole also has experience advising clients regarding compliance with Ontario Energy Board rules, codes and requirements.

Cole is a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Prior to joining Osler, he held progressively senior leadership roles, including Director of Engineering, with electricity transmission and distribution companies in Ontario and the United Kingdom.  Cole has extensive experience planning, designing, constructing, and operating electricity grids to supply facilities ranging from nuclear power plants to off-grid communities. This experience enables him to develop a comprehensive understanding of his client’s business challenges and legal needs.
