Stephanie R. White

Stephanie is a registered Patent Agent in both Canada and the United States. She practises in the Intellectual Property Department in the Ottawa office and specializes in protection of chemical and biochemical technologies in various industry sectors, including cleantech, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, oil & gas and alternative energy. Stephanie focuses on assessing new technologies, preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, and providing advice for strategic portfolio development and management to assist emerging and high-growth clients in protecting their intellectual property. In addition, Stephanie provides support to the patent litigation group in relation to pharmaceutical, chemical and biochemical matters.

Prior to joining Osler, Stephanie worked as a partner in an Intellectual Property boutique firm and, previously, as the Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for a Canadian not-for-profit organization committed to commercialization of green(er) chemical technologies.
