Sophie Amyot

Sophie practices in corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial matters. She has extensive experience in advising buyers and sellers in local and international M&A transactions. She also acts for private equity and venture capital funds, as well as major institutional investors in connection with their portfolio investments and dispositions.

She works with emerging companies at all stages of their growth advising them on a wide variety of corporate matters, including financing, corporate reorganizations, governance and commercial matters.

Extremely dedicated to her clients, Sophie quickly understands the key issues and is focused on finding practical solutions. She is a rising star in Québec corporate law: her talent and expertise have been recognized by the Young Bar of Montréal, which named her Corporate Lawyer of the Year in 2018.

Very involved in the community, Sophie supports several causes that are close to her heart by being a member of the board of directors of foundations whose objectives are the development of low-income young single mothers, the promotion of health and the safeguarding of the environment.
