Robert has a broad litigation practice with particular emphasis on corporate and securities litigation and class action defence. Robert has experience defending securities, consumer, competition and product liability class actions.
Robert's practice also includes mergers and acquisitions litigation, director and officer liability, shareholder disputes, valuation proceedings, oppression claims, Ontario Securities Commission proceedings, and insolvency and restructuring matters. Robert has represented financial institutions and other leading clients across a range of industries, including auditors, mining companies, retailers, pharmaceutical companies, utilities and other businesses.
Robert is co-author of the Canadian chapter in The Securities Litigation Review (an annual “year in review” publication regarding securities litigation around the world) and Defending Securities Class Actions in Canada.
