Maryna Polataiko

Maryna is an associate in the Privacy and Data Management Group. As an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), Maryna is well-versed in Canadian privacy laws at the federal and provincial/territorial levels. Her practice covers a wide range of privacy, data management, and cybersecurity matters, including advising on privacy and anti-spam compliance, drafting privacy policies and procedures, conducting diligence and negotiations in a transactional context, and managing and responding to access to information requests. 

Maryna holds a joint Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University. While at McGill, she co-founded Tech Law McGill – an organization for students interested in the intersection of law and technology. In 2020-21, Maryna was a Legal Fellow at the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy.
