Madeleine is an associate in our Disputes group. She maintains a broad civil and commercial litigation practice.
Madeleine obtained her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she graduated in the top 3% of her class and received several academic awards.
Madeleine received recognition for her oral and written advocacy throughout law school. She represented Osgoode at the national level as an oralist in the Gale Cup Moot and the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot, where she received the Gordon F. Henderson Award for Best Respondent Factum. She also received a Top Oralist Award at an Osgoode-wide mooting competition and a Second Place Oralist Award at the Cassels Brock Cup.
Madeleine’s research papers were selected submissions at the 2022 and 2023 Osgoode Hall Law Journal J.D. Research Symposia. At the 2022 symposium, she presented her paper “Should Humans Get Credit for a Bot’s Work?” regarding the copyrightability of works generated by autonomous artificial intelligence. The following year, she presented her research paper that explored issues at the intersection of corporate law and human rights.
Prior to attending law school, Madeleine worked in the Office of Mergers & Acquisitions at the Ontario Securities Commission.
