Joanna is a returning 2L student at the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Osler’s Ottawa office. She joined the firm as a 1L summer student in 2023.
Before entering law school, Joanna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Cellular, Anatomical, and Physiological Sciences, followed by a Master of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. During her MSc., she gained experience in structural biology, using protein crystallography and isothermal titration calorimetry to study the impact of a mutation on the binding of pacemaker channels to cyclic AMP.
During law school, Joanna organizes events for the Allard Intellectual Property Club and coordinates outreach activities for the Legal Education Outreach Program.
