Betel has completed her first year of the JD program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Betel obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where she majored in Political Science and Public Policy.
During law school, Betel was an Ambassador of the JD program and an Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. She was also involved in the Black Law Students’ Association as the Advocacy Coordinator and the International Human Rights Program as a Researcher.
