While the financial markets rallied quickly after a significant nosedive in early August following the release stateside of softening job numbers, the event jolted many into questioning whether it was a wake-up call to a slowing economy on both sides of the border.
While signs of weakness in the U.S. usually creep north of the border, financial experts have cautioned investors to stay the course. However, many people have lingering concerns about job losses here in Canada and a consistent lack of growth for more than a year. While the Bank of Canada is making rate cuts, is it providing enough relief to Canadians who are juggling mortgage and business debt?

Osler National Co-Chair Maureen Killoran is joined by Osler Special Advisor and former Bank of Canada Governor Stephen Poloz, for a discussion on these and other issues.
