Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world around us. What once seemed like science fiction is increasingly becoming part of our daily lives. To help foster greater knowledge of where AI is headed and the issues surrounding its use, Osler has launched its Osler AI webinar series. Join us as we bring together AI experts from Osler and across industry to explore and better understand the power of AI and its impact on us all.
The series will begin by providing the building blocks or basics of AI, including by defining key concepts, exploring AI ecosystems, explaining how AI systems are developed and identifying regulatory models and legal risks. We will then demonstrate how a deep understanding of these core concepts and risks is critical to successfully negotiating commercial contracts covering AI systems and financing, acquiring or selling an AI-company.
At this session we explain what AI is, provide a general overview of the AI landscape and give examples of common and emerging use cases. We identify categories of AI tools and systems (e.g., ChatGPT (OpenAI), PyTorch (Meta), TensorFlow (Google)), explain how AI solutions are developed, and discuss the related opportunities and challenges. Attendees learn about common jargon (e.g., neural networks, machine learning and deep learning), quickly evolving AI ecosystems and self-regulatory initiatives for managing AI-related risks.
Available live and on-demand, each one-hour session in the Osler AI webinar series provide a unique opportunity to gain the perspective of those on the forefront of AI today and learn about strategies for now and in the future. Invitations for subsequent sessions are sent at the conclusion of each session.
