On April 20, 2017, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (“SNC-Lavalin”) is acquiring WS Atkins PLC (“Atkins”) in a deal worth C$3.6 billion. This is the biggest ever takeover for SNC-Lavalin, pushing it into the top tier of engineering firms worldwide.
SNC-Lavalin is a Montreal-based, fully integrated professional services and project management company and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure. SNC-Lavalin is the largest engineering firm in Canada with offices in over 50 countries and operations in over 160 countries.
Atkins is a British multinational engineering, design, and project management consulting company.
