On August 1, 2019, Right-Health Inc. was acquired by Telus Corporation. Right-Health Inc. owns and operates the Akira virtual care platform, including the Akira healthcare app as well as in-person healthcare clinics. The health-tech company will continue to operate under the Akira brand following the acquisition.
