On July 11, 2023, Pattern Energy Group LP announced that it completed construction and have started operations at its 150 MW Lanfine Wind power project located in Alberta, Canada. This project will generate landowner revenue and project tax revenue to the local community. In addition, Lanfine Wind has entered into a 10-year financially settled power purchase agreement with West Fraser.
Lanfine Wind uses 35 turbines at 4.3 MW each, which collectively powers 30, 000 homes in Alberta each year.
