On May 8, 2023, Deep Sky secured $10 million of funding from Investissement Québec and Brightspark Ventures. The company aspires to build large scale infrastructures through Canada that can capture carbon from previous industrial activity using existing technologies.
Deep Sky is a carbon capture start-up created by Frederic Lalonde and Joost Ouwerkerk, the co-founders of Hopper and Laurence Tosi, the former CFO of Airbnb.
