Chefs Plate in its acquisition by HelloFresh

On October 31, 2018, Chefs Plate was acquired by HelloFresh SE for an undisclosed amount.

The transaction will allow Chefs Plate to leverage the strength of the most successful global player in the market and continue to build a sustainable Canadian food system and support the community.

Founded by Jamie Shea and Patrick Meyer, Chefs Plate is Canada’s only fully national meal kit delivery service, with fulfillment centres in Toronto and Vancouver.

HelloFresh SE is an international publicly traded meal-kit company based in Berlin, Germany. It is the largest meal-kit provider in the United States, and also has operations in Canada, Western Europe, and Australia.
