In the HR industry, AI skills are becoming increasingly important. AI-empowered tools promise increased productivity and saved work hours, with some tools automating tasks like administration, payroll and employee benefits. These benefits are only half the equation, however, and it is vital HR leaders think of AI in terms of balancing risks with benefits, partner Sam Ip says in an interview with The Globe and Mail.
“(AI) is just a tool. A very efficient tool. But at the end of the day, the accountability needs to be the person who is using the tool, and ensuring the checks and balances are in place,” says Sam.
