Ankita Gupta, an associate in the Disputes Group in our Toronto office, has been appointed to the Young Advocates Standing Committee (YASC) of The Advocates’ Society.
YASC is a national committee that promotes the interests and concerns of young advocates within their first 10 years of practice. This is a coveted position for young disputes lawyers, and the selection process is rigorous. Ankita’s appointment is well-deserved. Her leadership, dedication, and notable contributions at Osler and the legal community position her to make significant contributions to YASC and beyond.
Ankita carries on a general commercial litigation practice, including appellate litigation, constitutional litigation, corporate and securities litigation, and class actions defence. She has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, British Columbia Court of Appeal, British Columbia Supreme Court, Ontario Divisional Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Capital Markets Tribunal. Prior to joining Osler, Ankita served as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario for Justice Sarah E. Pepall, Justice David M. Brown, Justice Benjamin Zarnett, and for Supreme Court of Canda Chief Justice Richard Wagner.
