Gary Marshall represents emerging growth companies at all stages, as well as the venture capital firms, strategic investors and investment banks that finance those companies. In addition to providing strategic counseling, he advises entrepreneurs and investors on corporate formation, equity incentives, convertible note and preferred share financings, securities law compliance, corporate governance, public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.
He represents private and public companies, primarily in the software, technology, cleantech, life sciences, consumer product, and digital media and entertainment sectors. Prior to joining Osler, Gary worked at a Silicon Valley-based legal advisor to emerging growth companies and venture capital investors, and at a London-based venture capital and private equity investment firm.
While at Stanford University, Gary was a member of the United States National Swimming Team and was the United States National Champion in the 200 meter breaststroke and NCAA Champion in the 100 yard breaststroke.
