Craig has extensive experience in class proceedings, product liability matters, securities regulation, commercial banking litigation and commercial arbitrations.
Craig has appeared at all levels of the Ontario, Québec, British Columbia and New Brunswick courts, and, on multiple occasions, before the Supreme Court of Canada. Craig is a leader in our litigation group, having worked on some of the largest class action proceedings in Canadian history.
Craig is currently a Director of The Advocates Society, and a former member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee. He is a key contact for the Osler Product Liability Group and the Class Actions Group, and is a former Chair of Osler’s Student Committee.
Craig is recognized as a leading litigation and alternative dispute resolution practitioner by Chambers, Lexpert, Benchmark Litigation and Best Lawyers (Canada). In 2023, he was named “Lawyer of the Year (Class Actions)” by Best Lawyers (Canada).

- Represented Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. before Ontario Superior Court of Justice in its successful defence of a proposed national securities class action seeking tens of millions in damages for alleged public misrepresentations relating to its tax filings
- City of Toronto in connection with Union Station Litigation
- Just Energy Group Inc. in connection with its $1.1 billion recapitalization transaction
- Represented TransUnion in defence of a proposed national privacy class action relating to a data breach
- Trial counsel in the largest class action in Canadian history, in the context of companion product liability common issue trials
- Represents a group of pharmaceutical manufacturers in the defence of multiple class actions commenced across the country in respect of opioid products, including a novel statutory action commenced on behalf of the provincial governments
- Participated in a special committee investigation of a major publicly traded company in response to proceedings commenced by domestic and international securities regulators
- Represented KRIM Biopharma Inc., as well as its directors, with respect to the defence of a breach of contract and oppression claim brought by Stiefel Laboratories, Inc. in the Ontario Superior Court seeking $200 million in damages
- Represented a Canadian commercial bank in the context of national class proceedings brought in respect of credit card fees
- Represented a Canadian financial institution in the context of a commercial lending dispute
- Represented an international pharmaceutical company in respect of a product liability class proceeding
- Appeared before the Ontario Securities Commission in the context of various shareholder disputes
- Represented a Canadian commercial bank in the context of multi-jurisdictional litigation relating to allegations of investment fraud
- Appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of a major Canadian pension fund in respect of a pension surplus representative proceeding
