On June 25, 2021, Alliance HealthCare Services announced its acquisition by Akumin for US$820 million. The acquisition will create the most comprehensive radiology and oncology solutions for patients in the US and will also create innovative growth for the healthcare industry. Upon closing of the transaction, the combined company is expected to have over 1,000 hospital and health system customers and over 4,000 team members.
